Sheringham Point Lighthouse

HISTORY & ARCHIVES WEBSITE

In October 2015, Sheringham Point Lighthouse was declared a National Heritage Lighthouse, and was transferred into the care and ownership of the Sheringham Point Lighthouse Preservation Society.

In addition to being responsible for the conservation and management of the site and it historic structures, and opening the site for public access as a community park,  the Society has also taken on the task of building, organizing and managing an “archival and collections management system” to ensure that the historic materials associated with the site are documented, protected and, where possible, made accessible to the public.

THIS WEBSITE PROVIDES THE ON-LINE HOME FOR OUR ARCHIVES AND COLLECTIONS MANAGEMENT.

It is a sub-site of the main SHERINGHAM POINT LIGHTHOUSE WEBSITE, where more information about the Lighthouse, its protection, access to the site, and the Society’s support activities can be found.
